DETENTION SYSTEMS
Corrugated metal pipe (CMP) detentention systems are systems designed to collect and store stormwater runoff and release the water from a reduced outlet at a controlled rate that is equal to or below the pre-developed discharge rate.
RETENTION SYSTEMS
CMP retention systems are constructed of fully or partially perforated CMP and designed with no outlet feature. With no outlet, these systems control stormwater discharge by allowing water to infiltrate back into the surrounding ground, leaving pre-developed flow patterns unchanged
Metal Culverts manufactures Detention/Retention systems in the following:
- 12″-144″ DIAMETERS
- GALVANIZED, ALUMINIZED TYPE 2, AND POLYMER COATINGS
- STANDARD, 3X1, & 5X1 CORRUGATIONS
- CORRUGATED ALUMINUM PIPE
- 16-8 GAUGE
- FULLY OR PARTIALLY PERFORATED
ADVANTAGES OF CMP UNDERGROUND DETENTION SYSTEMS:
- COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZEABLE WITH NUMEROUS SIZE, CORRUGATION, GAUGE, AND COATING CONFIGURATIONS THAT ALLOW THE SYSTEM TO FIT MOST ANY PROJECT FOOTPRINT
- UTILIZE EXISTING SPACE ELLIMINATING NEED TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL PROPERTY FOR STORMWATER STORAGE. LAND OVER SYSTEMS CAN BE UTILIZED FOR PARKING, GREEN SPACE, OR RECREATIONAL AREAS
- HELP IN LOWERING LANDOWNER LIABILITIES THAT MAY ARISE WITH HAVING ABOVE GROUND RETENTION PONDS
- ELIMINATE INSECT/ PEST HABITAT AND BREEDING GROUNDS
- ECONOMICAL INSTALLATION AND SYSTEM MATERIAL COSTS
